Mission: United Way of Loudon County is an independent affiliate governed by a local board and committed to the stability, education, and health of our local Loudon County Community. The United Way contributes to more than twenty nonprofit organizations that benefit our community. Members were invited to designate their donation to a specific organization if they wished in the memo line of their checks. These organizations include:

Recipient: Friends of the Lenoir City Public Library
Plan: “I’ve never seen a group have that much power to affect real change so quickly. You all seriously changed our library’s children’s outreach program for years in just one hour! You all are amazing!”

Recipient: Lenoir City High School Band Boosters
Plan: To replace/repair concert band instruments as well as fund band scholarships/activities.

Recipient: The Salvation Army of Loudon County
Mission: To meet human need without discrimination.

The Salvation Army of Loudon County’s all volunteer staff helps local citizens who have fallen on hard times with “last dollar” assistance to help them through their struggle with compassion while demonstrating the love of Christ. “Its message is based on the Bible, ministry is motivated by the love of God, mission is to preach the Gospel and to meet human need without discrimination.”

Recipient: Young Life Loudon County
Mission: Young Life Loudon County exists with the hope that we might invest in the lives of teenagers & adolescents in & around the Loudon County area through trusted friendships with young people in order that we might be able to share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ with our friends. This is the heartbeat of all our Young Life leaders!
Plan: To send students to Young Life camp who might not otherwise be able to afford to go.
